NorBAF Diatom Intercalibrations

2024 Seventh Nordic-Baltic diatom intercalibration/harmonization exercise

• 2024 is the 7th NORBAF diatom intercalibration – All experts are welcome to participate Click here for the invitation letter and all the details!
• Register by sending an email to maria.kahlert@slu.se with details on name, affiliation, and invoicing address no later than 15/12 2023. Costs will be 300 Euro excl. VAT, including the workshop.
• January 2024 - Samples will be sent to the participants
• Counting until 30 June 2024
• Online workshop 17 January 2025 to discuss more basic questions of diatom counting & identification related to the results.
• Workshop 21-22 January 2025 at the Norr Malma field station, Sweden. Bart Van de Vijver will also be teacher at the workshop, as before.
• Auditors: Prof. Dr Bart Van de Vijver, Meise Botanic Garden, Iréne Sundberg, Senior miljökonsult, Medins Havs och Vattenkonsulter AB, Mölnlycke, and Eva Herlitz, Research engineer, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.

• SWEDAC (Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment) and SYKE (Finnish Environment Institute) are informed about our activities and the participation of Swedish and Finnish laboratories and consultants.
