FRESHWATER ALGAE – June 4-July 6; Mon., Wed., alternate Friday, all day (will not conflict w/ Field Ornithology).

A study of the identification, classification, diversity and ecology of freshwater algae. Prerequisites: introductory biology or permission of instructor.

Reelfoot Lake, the largest natural lake in Tennessee, was formed by the New Madrid Earthquakes of 1811-1812. The lake and its surroundings include many unique aquatic, terrestrial and wetland environments as well as distinctive geological phenomena.

Tuition & fees:
$281 per credit hour in-state (includes Fulton, Hickman & Graves counties in KY)
$799 per credit hour out-of-state
$75 lab fee per course

Housing:
$10/night or
May 14-June1 = $120
June 4-July 6 = $200
Facilities include shared sleeping rooms, a kitchen (students prepare their own meals) and laundry.
